  • NEWS: The links were working but anthropic just broke them again! Fixing now.

    Thanks for your patience

  • Things to try

Anthropic artifacts can be tricky on a phone but should be better now.

[We don't host the software, they do. so we have to work with what they offer...]

    1

    Use the right browser

Safari on an iPhone and Chrome on Android

    2

    Visit claude.com

The first time you use the deck, it will check to see if you're logged in (a free account is fine). So, if you've never used Claude on your phone, please log in. Not the app, visit it on the web. If problems arise, double check you're not using the app !

    3

    Beware firewalls

In Quebec and parts of Switzerland, you may have trouble with all of Claude's artifacts, not just ours. The first move is to turn off wifi and use your cell signal, then reverse that. If nothing works, visit the laptop links shared here--they always work.

  • You can now use the cards on a laptop

If you have a browser that doesn't work or get an error message, or just prefer typing--all the links are right here.

Putting the deck to good use...

    Why use cards?

The Prompt Decks combine human interaction and tactile experience with the possibilities of AI. Shuffling, flipping and talking about the cards makes the ideas come alive.

Does it save the conversation or adventure?

No! Anthropic artifacts work great, but they're not added to your chat history. So take good notes.

When you're stuck getting started (apps, browsers and login issues)

The QR code is scanned by the camera on your phone.

You've probably tried this before, but just in case: Open the camera, aim it at the QR code and you'll see a little URL magically pop up in your camera. Click that and it will open your browser to the page you just scanned. If it's not working, try a QR code on some other item and if it still doesn't work, as a friend.

You do not need to have the Claude App installed on your phone. It works in the browser, not the app. That's the way Anthropic and Claude built it.

Do not try to upload a picture of the card to the Claude App... it won't work.

Okay, next thing: You'll need to be logged into Claude for any of the cards to work. If you have an account already, just go to claude.ai in your phone's browser and login. If you don't have an account, they're free. Just sign up and you're set.

If you're used to signing in with your Google credentials, there are known bugs Google is having. Here's a Perplexity thread that can talk you through fixing it.

Tech can be frustrating, and I'm sorry for the hassle. Persist! It'll be worth it.

"I apologize, but I encountered an error. Please try again later."

Yikes! If you're seeing this, it might be that Anthropic/Claude is overloaded, but if you see it persistently, it's because a firewall or other software is blocking the artifacts from working. I'm afraid that the only workaround is to try a different machine or environment. We've tested the decks in many environments, and we've found that artifacts are blocked about 1% of the time.

This is most common in Quebec, but also in Switzerland. Our best advice: Get a VPN. They're free or cheap, easy to find if you do a search. Sorry for the hassle, but it's a systems issue, not related to our codebase.

And now, you can simply use your laptop. This should work in all cases. The links are right here.

What sort of AI do you use?

Anthropic makes Claude.ai, a competitor to ChatGPT. It's empathic, hard working and a game changer. They offer a feature called "artifacts." An artifact is a pre-written prompt in a wrapper that makes it easy to use.

In order to use a Prompt Deck, you'll need a free Claude account.

Because this is AI, plan accordingly. Assume that what you write is showing up somewhere, on some server. Don't believe everything it says. Use your judgment.

Do I have to use my phone?

I find that the best interactions happen with keyboards, but most people seem to prefer interactions on the phone. It all works! When you scan the QR code on the card, your phone will open the artifact. You can continue on your Mac by using the Handoff function (instructions below) or you can find apps with Android that will offer similar functionality.

    1. Enable Handoff:

    • On iPhone: Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff > enable Handoff.

    • On Mac: System Preferences > General > check Allow Handoff.

    2. Using Handoff:

    • When browsing a site in Safari on your iPhone, look for the iPhone Safari icon in your Mac’s Dock.

    • Click it to open the current iPhone tab in Safari on your Mac.

    • Works in reverse for Mac-to-iPhone browsing.

To do this on Android or Windows, here is a thread to help you get started:

    https://www.perplexity.ai/search/1509ddbf-8143-4dd0-be33-1924f89805e2

Where did the content in the interactions come from?

We didn't input any books or intellectual property into Claude--it's already there. The artifacts in the Prompt Decks are designed to make the interactions happen, but all we've done is trained it to act like a coach or narrator or soothsayer. It reads what's in its library, adopts a posture and shares it with you, the user.
